Sen. Art Robinson has accomplished several good family outcomes at his home school ranch. One is the creation of teaching curricula for homeschoolers. Another is raising his children in science to the level of several Ph.Ds. All that is to be applauded. But as a state senator, he has been a failure.
I have attended several of his political talks, and also from his son Noah as he campaigns to replace his father as state senator. How can that be a failure? The learning of science is the problem. Both Art and Noah Robinson are quite clear that science is black and white, right or wrong, absolute correct or not. And in the world of democracy, that gets you no solutions. As a state senator, Art has failed us by producing so many no votes that otherwise may have produced positive benefits to our area.
Noah repeats the same words as his dad and follows the same line of absolute truths of science. What they have created, with a mind sense of absolute 100% dominance or not, is the loss of compromise.
When you do not get compromise in democracy, you may get wars such as our Civil War. Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, James Madison and many other members of our Founding Fathers created our nation on compromise. All of our Constitution’s amendments are compromises from the original Constitution.
Isn’t it time we got something besides “no”? Vote for Christine Goodwin, who has experience producing value for us based on compromise and experience.
